Since 2016 Caroline Field has been Curator of the Australian Catholic University Art Collection.
Her previously held positions include Manager, Exhibitions and Curatorial Projects, Australian Galleries Melbourne; Director of the City of Horsham Regional Art Gallery; Curator of the Deakin University Art Collection; Founding Manager/Curator of Deakin University’s Stonington Stables Museum of Art, Toorak campus, and the ICON Museum of Art (now Deakin University Gallery), Burwood campus.
Caroline consults on collecting, presenting and valuing art, and is an approved valuer for the Australian Government’s Cultural Gifts Program in the classes of: Australian prints after 1890; Australian paintings and drawings after 1890; Australian artists’ books; Australian sculpture after 1950; Australian glass after 1980; Ceramics after 1930; Australian photography after 1890; Australian Indigenous Art from 1930, from all regions, including prints, drawings, textiles, paintings, sculptures, ceramics, glassware, fibre items and new media.
